Sycamore

(4 customer reviews)

Sycamore – Everyone needs a straight flying slower fairway driver in their bag, and the Sycamore is just that. It is one of the best feeling discs around and has an extremely straight flight that also holds up to power well. It is a great feeling and flying disc that can find a spot in everyone’s bag. It is a disc that can be thrown by players of all skill levels and continually offer a great flight. AGL has a sick lineup and this disc just adds to it!! Grab one of these sick discs today and you won’t regret it.

AGL says this about the Sycamore: “The AGL Discs Sycamore is a stable to slightly over-stable fairway driver. The Sycamore is the lone fairway driver currently in the lineup and provides consistent accuracy for those tight fairways or shots where trouble looms. With flight numbers that ring up at 7/5/0/1 this disc flies straight and with a subtle right to left fade for right-hand backhanded throws. The Sycamore has become an instant favorite for members of team AGL and fits right between our speed 9 Locust distance driver, and the speed 5 magnolia. Start hitting fairways today and take your game Above Ground Level with the Sycamore. “

  1. Very straight with a tiny bit of fade.

  2. Amazing slow fairway driver! Much like a teebird. Can handle power very well!

  3. The sycamore fits into a similar slot as the Teebird with a few small differences. I personally feel like the sycamore is a 6.5 speed disc, doesn’t feel as fast as a Teebird out of the hand. It handles all the power I can put on it without any issue, so don’t think just because it feels slower that it will flip over. The fade on the sycamore is also more subtle. Once it reaches the low speed stability just kind of sits down without much drama, where I find a Teebird has more chance of skipping. So I bag one alongside a teebird or similar disc just for the more subtle flight. In the woods this can save you from being behind a tree or skipping off into a worse spot. It has a deeper feeling as well so anyone with a little bigger hands, or likes deeper discs will like this one. In the alpine plastic you get a somewhat stiff feel, that at first may feel slick but has a lot of grip in practice. The sycamore is quite possibly one of the most useable utility, not that it couldn’t fill this slot on its own, discs in the woods at its speed.

  4. the sycamore is one the best fairway drivers for all skill sets. When I take a new player out I usually let them have a sycamore and a putter. Higher skilled players will find a great straight flyer with reliable fade.
