The Blast is an overstable beadless approach disc built with high torque resistance, low glide, and a confident fade at the end of its flight, making it a reliable choice for a variety of controlled shots. Its shallow profile, subtle thumb track, and slightly recessed flight plate offer a comfortable feel in the hand and a clean release for both backhand and forehand throws.

So much to say here. . . an interesting disc. Like a Zone crossed with a Berg, it’s got a gently rounded, slightly recessed flight plate married to a familiar beveled wing. It flies verrry overstable, as the 4 fade would lead you to expect. However, in the gusty conditions I played in, that fade quickly lead to the flight plate being exposed to the wind and the disc being carried off in ways I hadn’t planned on. Live and learn. What really frosts me though is the plastic. Yes, it looks wonderful, but it’s stiff and smooth and shiny and it’s gotta be the slickest disc I’ve ever held. I know Discraft can do better – the new Spark and Atmos plasics are great, as are the blends found in the Climo line. Here’s hoping the next run of Blasts is a little grippier.
