Mentor – The Discmania Mentor, formerly the Sea Serpent, is a much straighter distance driver than the number suggest. It is a disc that can be thrown both forehand and backhand and gets a touch of flip, with a ton of push forward and some decent fade at the end of the flight. It is a disc that has a farily low profile even though it has a bit of a shoulder. Most in this run are somewhat domey to a puddle top center. The disc feels sturdy in the hand and can be thrown pretty hard without a ton of flip, but plenty of slide and a lot of glide. Grab a Discmania Mentor today and take control of the fairway.
Discmania says this about the Active Premium plastic: “The Active Premium plastic will be produced in gorgeous translucent plastic with vivid colors that have been carefully selected for the best visual appeal. This firm and grippy plastic also bring great durability and performance for all skill levels. We had an option to flood the disc market with new molds, but we opted to build on the success of the current Active discs and share the same molds and flight numbers in the Active Premium line.”

Service: disc arrived quickly, was well-packaged, and had no damage.
Disc: great for what I was looking for—a disc that when thrown forehand flat or with slight anhy will have a nice gradual turn before flexing back. A stronger arm would likely get easy hyzer-flips.
OTB = GOAT
This is a weird dome-y disc. At my power (250ft) its a little bit overstable, but what makes it interesting is that it gets a lot of lift and wants to climb. Good for uphill shots I think.
