   Great wind fighter. I used to bag a Royal Rive but this Atomic plastic is equal if not better. Super grippy, flies like a slightly more stable Rive, which is what you want out of this disc. If you want something flippier, the Kahu XH will do the trick. Dependable fade even in a headwind. Good for 400ft plus forehand turnovers as well. Prettiest discs on the market, hands down.

   Took a flyer on this disc and I’m glad I did. Point and shoot type of disc. Feels great coming out of the hand.

   I wasn’t sure what to expect from this disc but was admittedly hoping it was going to be a little less stable. The turn out of the box is basically non-existent though I’m hoping it breaks in at least a little. It’s not quite a utility overstable disc but it’s close. I’ll still give it a high rating because for what it is, it is a great disc. Huge pushing fade without dumping.

   The Kahu from RPM Discs is an absolutely outstanding disc. This was the first disc I ever threw from RPM Discs and I instantly fell in love with it. Since first throwing the Kahu I have tried all the other discs from RPM and have changed my entire bag over to 100% RPM Discs. Not only does their plastics feel amazing (my favorite plastics are Atomic and Magma Soft) but they have so many great discs in their quickly expanding line-up. But back to the Kahu. The Kahu is a disc that has been released in several different variations. The regular Kahu, the Kahu XG (flippier version with extra glide), and the one-off Kahu OS which is an absolute meat hook that I can only compare to the likes of a Prodigy X1. The standard run of the Kahu is a great reliable overstable distance driver that is sneaky glidey. When I first started testing out the Kahu and XG variation, I noticed that it would get a mild amount of turn for me but still finish with that nice overstable drop at the end of its flight. Normally when I think of a 13 speed stable to overstable driver, I only anticipate a short distance that I can get it out to because of my lower arm speed. This doesn’t seem to be the case with the Kahu and Kahu XG. As mentioned above, it just wants to glide! Sure, it dumps out at the end of the flight, but it doesn’t fight for the stability the entire way. It likes to feel the breeze and stay in the air for as long as it can. I can only assume that is because of the beautiful bird stamp (Kahu or Swamp-Harrier) that you see on the top of the disc. In my experience with the Kahu, the Cosmic tends to be a bit more overstable so if it is a windy day, I will be reaching for my Cosmic Kahu but on a nice calm day, the Atomic Kahu is an absolute workhorse for me. With several variations of Cosmic/Atomic and Kahu/Kahu XG in my bag, I don’t see me needing another distance driver anytime soon. Unless, of course, RPM releases another driver… and in that case, I will absolutely try one out and more than likely bag it as I currently bag at least 1 of every single mold by RPM!    This thing ABSOLUTELY BOMBS!! The first time I threw it, I yelled “OH MY GOD!” out loud lol. The SECOND time I threw it, I yelled “HOLY SH**!” out loud. Good thing no one was around haha. I’m an intermediate player been trying to surpass the 400′ mark (122 meters) and approach 450′ feet. Literally in ONE field work session this broke through my other distance drivers and hit 405′ on the second toss. It glides for days and has the perfect amount of stability at the end of the flight. Highly recommend this Distance Driver. Now I only have 2 distance drivers in the bag. The Kahu and the Kotare. Because that’s all I need. The 9 speed Pekapeka goes so far and covers so many other shots. They really nailed it with the Kahu/Kotare combination.

   It’s beautiful, but once again I think RPM’s flight numbers are a bit off. I’d say the turn is more 0.5 than 1.5. Not exactly what I was expecting. Oh well, it goes on the “pretty disc shelf” for now.

   Great distance driver. OTB nailed it in the description. “A solid disc that gets plenty of turn and reliably fades back every time.” Great artwork. I like the birds but the warrior stamp is awesome. I got mine in the atomic plastic. Might get a second one to try the cosmic plastic. Thanks OTB for carrying discs made by people besides the big companies.
