K1 Soft Grym X – A fast, reliable distance driver. It is a disc you can throw in any conditions in calm conditions it will be a reliable overstable driver that you can lay into. In windier conditions, the Grym X will be your go to disc. It is a fantastic counterpart to the Grym, pair the two together and you can build a bag that has all the shot shapes needed for your distance shots. It is a touch slower than the Grym and much more reliably overstable. It is a true workhorse. The K1 Soft plastic is amazing feeling and has plenty of grip and durability along with a soft feel in the hand. Kastaplast says this about the mold: “Grym X provides a well-balanced combination of speed, accuracy and glide. With a rim width of 22 mm, it fits right into the spot where the disc is workable and easy to grip, while still being very fast. Feels great in the hand, little more OS than I expected out of the box, looking forward to seeing how it seasons over the summer. Great disc!
I thought there was no way this could compete with a Fission Time-lapse, I was wrong. My three finger forehand makes grip touchy, and whilst this disc might not sail as well as others, the confident grip allows me to wrench it out to 450ft just the same. K1 soft is 80% of my bag now. I hope Kasta makes more soft drivers.
K1 soft feels great. Wanted to try it before they’re hard to find
Flies straight with a nice fade at the end. With enough pepper on your throw you might even be able to run a slight under stable line and make slight S bend if needed.
