Bravo Artemis – The Artemis is a great feeling approach disc from Lone Star that is perfect for attacking greens in headwinds. It has a low profile, beadless rim that is great for sitting in your hand on both forehands and backhands. The Bravo plastic is a softer blend of plastic that is fantastic in both quality and grip. Lone Star actually updated the flight numbers to a Fade of 2. I’d say these flight numbers are spot on when compared to a Zone. Stability wise it is very similar to a Tactic but it has a depth much closer to a Zone or even more shallow than a Zone and I love that. It has that perfect stability for forehand approaching where you don’t really have to think to much about the angle you just throw what feels instinctual and it works, like a beat-in Zone. In Bravo plastic it is pretty flexible and doesn’t skip, which is what I loved about a Tactic but the Tactic is too deep. Great for slight anny release that slowly fights to flat and sticks. Don’t expect it to do a knifing flex shots, grab an Anvil or A2 for that
I have been exploring different approach discs.
I have thrown pigs, entropys, aviarx3’s and the bravo Artemis seems to be the perfect mix of grippy plastic, good glide and plenty of stability.
