SP Line Banzai

Banzai – This is the brand new release from DGA (March 2018) and it’s going to be a great addition to their lineup. A nice fit in the Overstable Fairway slot, it really has a very nice, comfortable grip in the hand with a Pipeline feel to it. The Banzai also features a small bead on the rim, which is a fresh take on a Fairway Driver mold. This is a pretty stable disc and fills a slot in the DGA lineup, an overstable fairway driver that still pushes forward and can get plenty of distance with a reliable finish to stay carving up the fairways with control.
We field tested the First Flight Banzai yesterday (4/3/18) and found it to fly quite well! When thrown hard (~350′ fairway distance), the Banzai would flip up for just a second, then reliably fade. On a touch of hyzer release, it would just barely get to flat before a slight Glide to strong Fade finish. Should be a nice mold! We’ve thrown it a little and we enjoy the flight of this disc a whole lot.

Plastic looks and feels great! Looking forward to throwing it when it warms up.
This disc has exactly the stability I was looking for and feels good in the hand. The SP plastic is really stiff and was pretty slick to start though. It’s gotten a little grippier. But I think the PL might be better.
Great overstable fairway driver. Slightly less overstable than ice plastic of the banzai.

The fairway driver I’ve been looking for. Comes out of the hand great, smash it out in the open as hard as I can, drifts a little and has a moderate forward fade. They call it 8 4 0 3 but I’d put it at more like an 8 5 0 2, but I trust it like an 8 4 0 3 if that makes any sense. Overall though, if you like to throw flat and hard this is a top tier option.
