Nate Sexton Nexus Glow Firefly – 2023

(6 customer reviews)

2023 Nexus Glow Firefly – The Firefly is a great feeling disc that is beadless and very reminiscent of the Aviar. It has a nice stable flight that is loved by Nate Sexton. On top of that, it has some of the best feeling plastic in the Innova lineup. Glow Nexus plastic is very grippy but it also has a touch of stiffness., making it a disc you can use in all conditions. Help support the 2017 USDGC Champion Nate Sexton with the Nexus Glow Firefly.

Innova says this about the run: “Nate Sexton needed a new batch of P2s, so we made him the very best version of that disc to date. The Nexus Glow Firefly is a beadless putter with a flat top that will provide an accurate, consistent flight in almost all conditions. Nexus plastic provides the stiffness Nate requested, but with an unparalleled grip. A substantial portion of each sale will benefit Nate Sexton and his touring efforts.”

  1. Loving the small stamp on this years run

  2. I switched to this putter around May of this year and while it may be expensive, I absolutely love it. This is hands down the best plastic to get the Firefly in and it’s not even close.

It feels amazing in the hand and is incredible both for putting and throwing. I currently bag four of these, with a set of 175g for putting, a 172g for putts >50′ and most approaches that I try to not abuse, and a 175g for throwing or specific putt/approach situations that has been bruised and abused.

I honestly cannot recommend this disc enough. I understand that many people seem to prefer shallow putting putters, but I highly recommend exploring this disc as a throwing putter. Additionally, the puddle top of these Nexus Color Glows makes the disc feel shallower–especially when you compare the hand feel to either the DX, KC-Pro, Star, or even the Omega-4 (in case you can’t tell, I like this mold a lot).

For reference, I also bag a Proton Envy and a Luster Invader as my primary driving putters. The Firefly gives me incredible control off the tee, but I am generally only throwing it off the tee on holes that require <280' of power. But this is easily the disc I am most confident with, and that is hugely important because that's what you want from a putter.

  3. Great putter, very consistent

  4. Comfy disc. Plastic is super nice feeling and actually pretty durable. Not my go to for putting, but it’s a nice thrower or approach. If they made big bead aviars in this plastic I might go broke

  5. Only real P2 left.

  6. Bought this on a whim. I like to try a new putter every year. The puddle top reminds me a bit of a JK/Conrad Aviar. A touch more stability and less glide than my go-to putter, the Warden. I’m sticking to the Warden for now, but the Firefly is a pretty cool disc.
