Valkyrie

(76 customer reviews)

Valkyrie – This is one of the more iconic discs in the Innova lineup. The Valkyrie was one of the 5 original CE production discs and is now featured as the queen artwork on Innova’s new playing cards. The Valkyrie has a very comfortable grip in the hand and an even better flight. A great disc for beginners to learn on or for more advanced players to shape some incredible shots. Great for rollers, hyzer flips, or nice long turnovers, the Valkyrie is sure to find a spot in your bag if given the chance. Thrown by greats such as Juliana Korver and Christian Sandstrom, these discs are super popular and they have a really great feel in the hand. If you need a 9 speed fairway with some turn and a lot of glide, grab a Valk and see how it bombs.

Innova says this about the mold: “In lighter weights gives new players extra distance. Lighter weights also give players extreme range when thrown downwind, while maximum weights can give excellent upwind distance. The Valkyrie’s high speed turn and flight characteristics make it great choice for long range turnover shots and rollers.”

    Came exactly as described

The Star plastic has great grip. Perfect neutral stability for my medium arm. An extremely versatile disc for any skill level. Don’t let the nine speed fool you, these things bomb!

Good disc to fill out the middle speed driver spot. I think I’ve tried all the 9 speeds from Innova and this one has been the best for hyzer flips that reliably fade back. I think this disc, a thunderbird, and a roadrunner would be a perfect combo for the intermediate player.

Best online disc shopping experience by far.

I came back to stable/understable discs after focusing on stable/overstable for the past year. The Valkyrie is a good, solid performer, so I wasn’t taking any redl chances on an unknown disc. I just don’t like Champion plastic, and that is what was available. It is a Valkyrie, so I should be all right for my forehand.

One of my go to discs

Any up and coming players should try this disc out.

Heavier replacement for a Valkyrie in Champion Plastic. Looking forward to breaking it in a bit.

The Valkyrie has become a staple in my wife’s disc arsenal for controlled distance shots and tight fairways. Since she’s very particular about weight and hand-feel, it’s very convenient to know these characteristics of the discs before purchasing. Thanks, OTB!

    Love it.
