Star Tern – This is one of the best discs to come out of the Innova lineup in recent years. A go-to disc for some of the slower arm speeds, the Tern has a nice turn to get it flipped up and a ton of glide to carry it over on the line. With a thinner profile rim, and a comfortable 12 speed rim width, the Tern has a good, unique feel in the hand. This mold has a really shallow rim to it and a lot of players over the feel. It is a fast disc that gets plenty of turn so it can bomb down the fairway. These things have tons of glide, listed at 6 by Innova, you won’t be lacking glide or distance with the Tern. If you’re looking to get distance and a Destroyer or Shryke are too stable for you, then grab a Tern and add some distance with this awesome mold. The Star plastic has a good feel and is a little more overstable than the G-Star and Echostar plastic.

Innova says this about the mold: “Like the name, this disc has natural turn. Similar to the Archon, the Tern is a fast slightly understable disc that is designed for long shot shaping throws. In the hands of a powerful player, it just may be one of the farthest flying discs due to the long glide and natural turn. The Champion Tern flight numbers reflect a more stable flight. (12|6|-2|2)”

  1. Kevin

Surprisingly shocked at how well this 150 gram Star Tern flew. I expected it to be flippy, but it is actually pretty straight with a gentle fade. Granted, I’m near 50, throw from a standstill and generally max out around 340 feet, so take that for what it’s worth. I’ve considered buying extras since the 150 class is so hard to find.

  2. Colin T.

The Tern is a great disc for those new to throwing distance drivers. The Tern is under stable enough to compensate for slower arm speeds and those still developing their throwing mechanics.

  3. Lucas T.

    flippy guy

  4. Michael

    Great S-Turn

  5. Grant H.

Good price and fast shipping. Thank you.

  6. Anonymous

Really like this disc. When my speed increases I will enjoy it even more.

  7. Alexander

Great plastic, good high turn disc for beginner players that still dont have a lot of power

  8. Tyler F.

Understable driver that is very useful for turnover shots. I do not use this driver for any other shot aside from turnover shots as it has a high propensity to be carried off by any guest of wind. With a tailwind I’ve thrown no disc further than the tern.

  9. Kevin

Somewhat difficult to control. Great for big anhyzers that flip to flat and finish with a little bit of fade.

  10. nathaniel squire

I got this disc for hyzer flipping a forehand. It’s a little more flippy than I was expecting, but flies great !
