Star Tern
$17.99
Star Tern – This is one of the best discs to come out of the Innova lineup in recent years. A go-to disc for some of the slower arm speeds, the Tern has a nice turn to get it flipped up and a ton of glide to carry it over on the line. With a thinner profile rim, and a comfortable 12 speed rim width, the Tern has a good, unique feel in the hand. This mold has a really shallow rim to it and a lot of players over the feel. It is a fast disc that gets plenty of turn so it can bomb down the fairway. These things have tons of glide, listed at 6 by Innova, you won’t be lacking glide or distance with the Tern. If you’re looking to get distance and a Destroyer or Shryke are too stable for you, then grab a Tern and add some distance with this awesome mold. The Star plastic has a good feel and is a little more overstable than the G-Star and Echostar plastic.
Innova says this about the mold: “Like the name, this disc has natural turn. Similar to the Archon, the Tern is a fast slightly understable disc that is designed for long shot shaping throws. In the hands of a powerful player, it just may be one of the farthest flying discs due to the long glide and natural turn. The Champion Tern flight numbers reflect a more stable flight. (12|6|-2|2)”

Love this disc!
Nice go-to distance driver for players who can throw about 300.
I love Terns. I bag 3 of them now.
Was looking for a lighter weight option and found it
1 step less stable than my shryke. Great quality (no flashing) exactly as pictured
Great disc! One of my favorites. OTB does well shipping and wonderful selection
So you think you want a Tern? Why? Why do you need effortless extra distance and extreme shapeability? The Tern is an Innova secret. It’s a 12 speed. And any arm can throw it. It’s a secret because those who throw, don’t want you to know. It’s amazing for both forehand and backhand. So, yeah, just skip this one. It would only improve your game. Where’s the fun in that? That means you get a lower score and don’t play as MUCH disc golf. You might even have more fun throwing this. It might make your face use a lot more muscles because you have to smile when you bullseye from the tee pad. And people will congratulate you and that just gets old. Naw, Tern is probably not for you. Especially, especially in lighter weights. Nope. It makes it like Christmas every time you throw. Nope. Who needs that much joy?
The “is there a tailwind” contingency bomber. If you feel a breeze at your back, toss it up there and watch it go for days.
Kinda interesting hand feel – wide rimmed and shallow. Out of the box the flight numbers are accurate when thrown about 375’. Fast shipping and as-described
awesome
