Royal Bobcat

(26 customer reviews)

Royal Bobcat – The overstable midrange from Mint Discs, this is their second disc they have released, the first being the very popular Alpha. The Bobcat is a really flat midrange that is supposed to be a straight, stable flyer. This is being offered in both Royal and Royal Soft plastic. Mint plastic fans will love to have a new go to midrange in their bag. It is a disc that can handle lots of shot shapes and will be able to tear up woods and open courses alike. We love the way this disc and plastic feels. We will get a test video of it out soon so you can all see how it flies for us. This disc is sure to be a mainstay in many peoples bags as Mint has developed a cult like following after the Alpha. Test it out and see how it flies yourself. The Mint Discs Bobcat is going to be a great slower compliment to the alpha, using it on a similar flight path but with less distance.

Mint Discs says this about the run: “Designed to be a power mid-range that will compliment the Alpha, this flat profile disc will cut through almost any wind. Perfect for Backhand or Forehand dominate players. Royal plastic is the debut of our “pro grade” plastics. The benefit to this plastic over Sublime, Apex or Eternal is the superior grip in all conditions. The tacky feel is uniquely soft yet firm. Royal plastic is also an ideal option if you want to it to wear in or “season” faster. Typically this type of plastic will get a straighter flight as it wear’s in and loses it’s high speed stability. This run of Royal Bobcats also has a much flatter shoulder and dome than Sublime, Apex & Eternal. This should help it cut through the wind and also make it more ideal for forehand grips.”

Flight Numbers – Speed: 5, Glide: 5, Turn: 0, Fade: 2

These all have an OTB exclusive mini Bobcat stamp =)

  1. Great complement to my Apex Bobcat!

  2. Thanks again for the sweet disc !!

  3. Good price for a disc that is difficult to find right now. Really like this overstable mold in the premium plastic. Planning on using this for tough approach shots.

  4. Royal plastic is a dream for those that really want to beat in a disc. Bobcat is my favorite heavy fade midrange (beadless).

  5. Great for forehand, which is what I bought it for, but am struggling to get it going on backhands.

  6. Works well for my approach shots

  7. The royal bobcat is a nice overstable disc. The numbers should be 5/4/0/3 because its not a fade of 2. However, the fade isn’t a dumpy and more forward finishing fade
The royal plastic feels very good. Grippy, yet stiff. But stiff in the rim with a little give to the flight plate. Overall, a very solid mold from Mint.

  8. Flys straight. Grippy rubbery feel that limits the ground play on dirt.

  9. Royal plastic feels excellent. Is beating in nicely to a slightly less stable flyer.

  10. Plastic is a bit firm but feels and flys great. Surprisingly took tree hits well.
