Raider – Lucid

Lucid Raider – the super popular new Raider mold is now available in the extremely durable Lucid plastic! This plastic also tends to be a bit more Overstable. The Raider mold is a certified boomer, getting a ton of distance and Glide with just the right amount of Turn to really get down the fairway.

We at OTB have tested three versions of the Raider – the SE initial run in a Fuzion type blend, the original release of the stock Fuzion run, and this new bottom stamped Lucid run. The SE had the most turn, while the stock fuzion and lucid both had a bit more Overstability. All versions have a little turn to them before the inevitable fade. All versions are also certified boomers!

The Lucid Raider was originally a release that was only available at Dick’s Sporting Goods, a partnership that Dynamic Discs has been trying to cultivate. Now the BuyBack dealers have access! We are happy to get a small stock of these in our store. We expect that they will go quickly!

Great trilogy distance driver. OTB letting you find the right amount of dome is key on these types of discs.

  2. Shane Peterson (verified owner)

Especially being at 5000 feet elevation in Colorado, Lucid Raiders are a lot of disc for my arm. I have about a 375+ foot forehand and backhand, and for me this disc is more of a “hoping to get all of that 375, into a headwind, throwing forehand” disc. Once beat, Lucid Raiders become a nice backhand into headwind disc too. Too much disc for me without the headwind, but always want to have one in the bag. It gets windy here…

  3. Mathison I. (verified owner)

More stable than my fuzion first run raider but pretty great

  4. Matthew Raymond (verified owner)

This disc is a bomber. It is comfortable to forehand and a solid max distance driver. It will turn but has dependable fade to come back at the end. Really enjoy throwing it.

**9/6/2019 update – the new run is out with the same top stock stamp but no bottom stamp**

Here’s what Dynamic has to say about the mold – “The Raider is sure to steal its spot in bags of all skill levels. The Raider sits comfortably between the Trespass and Enforcer in stability, and it excels at finishing forward instead of diving at the end of its flight. Players with slower arm speeds will find a dependable, overstable driver that will gain them distance over the Enforcer or Defender, while faster arms will love the Raider as a workhorse driver that is perfect for carrying multiples to cover a variety of shots. Get ready to put some power on your distance shots, and watch the Raider destroy your previous best drives.”
