Pyro – Prism Plasma
$18.99
Axiom Pyro – A brand new mold to the Axiom lineup in June 2019, this disc is ready to blow up all over the disc golf world! An Overstable Midrange disc, the Pyro falls just under the Deflector in terms of how beefy it is. Where the Deflector will start to Fade almost immediately, the Axiom Pyro will hold straight for a bit longer before the inevitable, reliable Fade.
We at OTB Discs tested this new mold and found that hypothesis to be true. We were very excited at the possibility of a less Overstable Deflector. We love that mold!! But, it would be nice to get a little more flight out of it every once in a while =). This disc seems to be exactly that

From Axiom – “The Prism Pyro is debuting with a stock triple-foil stamp, that in combination with a Proton core and Prism rim produces a stunning dual-toned translucent disc. The Prism Proton Pyro was designed as Axiom’s first overstable Midrange with more glide than the MVP Deflector and a commanding stable finish. The Pyro has enough stability for consistent flights in strong winds and powerful throws without losing its line and turning off target.”

Axiom blanks are my some of my favorite discs so I had to snag one of these pyros. Plasma is stunning but can get slick when wet.
Alex Robie –
great overstable mid for straight shots that need dependable fade

Nice and overstable for FH upshots

Slots perfectly between the reactor and deflector imo. Great mid for windy conditions.
William K. –
The rim shape isn’t for everyone, but it does for me. Like a zone with a bit more glide.
John G. –
Beef! I throw this on a roller line and it will always fight back.
ryan t. –
Very predictable mid range for forehand throwers.
steve –
this pyro got some good beef man. not mega beef but very reliable fade in 20mph gusts today. the shape of the rim also feels great in the hand.
Dylan H. –
A little more overstable than my neutron and proton pyros but has more forward push than my deflector.
Justin B. –
Beautiful disc and nice glidy overstable mold. Compliments the deflector well
