Dino Discs says this about the mold: “The Pterodactylus is a manageable driver for young disc golfers. The rim isn’t too wide, thus a high-speed release is not necessary. However, it still lands in the “distance driver” category and provides a great gateway disc to longer, more impressive throws down the fairway. Like other Dino Discs, it is lightweight, floats in water, and is aimed at a young players or those players without a lot of arm speed.
NOTE: The Pterodactylus is made with the mold for the ABC Secret Weapon.”

Great
Bought for my daughter. The cartoon stamp is cute, the plastic feels pretty decent for the price.
Well done
Even more awesome
Great disc for my 8yr old
An interesting disc. My son outgrew it but wanted a replacement for funsies. The plastic is like innovas ultralightweight plastic used in their school program (e.g. 120g shark) that feels kind of waxy feeling. Though this disc also has a sort of plastic skin coating, presumably for additional protection.
Got this as a replacement disc for my 4 year old. He loves this thing and showing off to strangers as he bombs forehand flex lines over 170’. Great disc for little ones.
Great for my kids!
Cute for the kiddos
Pterodactylus is an extremely light disc and is obviously marketed towards children. I’m getting ‘up in years’ and I can’t throw several ‘10+ speed’ discs decently. This disk is so light that I can waaay easily throw it /over/ its speed rating. I have recommended this disc to other ‘elderly’ players who have excitedly reported similar results.
If you have tried throwing a 170+ gram disc with an 10~13 speed rating, only to have it immediately start to fade, give this 121 gram disc a try!
