Neutron Octane – The Octane is a super fast and straight flying distance driver that everyone is perfect for those with big arms. This is a disc that gets a touch of turn before some gentle fade. It gets a little bit of turn but mostly holds up very well to power. The Plasma plastic is amazing feeling in the hand is generally a touch more overstable than other plastics from MVP. The Neutron Octane is sure to be a bomber!

MVP says this about the mold: “Octane falls in the general stability lineage of Switch, Amp, Inertia, and Wave, with a slow-turning profile that holds long and straight until its fade finish. The 23mm Octane is designed to be relatively less understable than its 21.5mm counterpart Wave. Average throwers should see straight flights with a bit of shallow turn, while power throwers will be able to hyzerflip for max distance and tailwind lines.”

  1. I like it just got to get use to it

  2. Probably the closest thing MVP has to a flippy-ish DD3. Just a great all-around distance driver.

  3. Incredible forehand disc with control. Pretty consistent run don’t have to hunt all over for the ones you like.

  4. One of the best workhorse distance forehand discs in the game. Doesn’t get a lot of glide which can be good for control and reliability in hitting your line and range. Easy to bag several of these neutrons in different weights to round out your workhorse distance slot.

  5. Good over stable driver

  6. bomber

  7. My best distance driver

  8. Great distance driver! I had one at max weight which was a bit too stable for my liking. This one I bought at 168g was a perfect step down in stability. It pushes a good amount of distance before hooking up predictability at the end on backhand, and can take all the power I can give it on forehand if I give it a bit of hyzer.

  9. Mine was very overstable

  10. I got the octane to replace my mayhem. Not as much glide as the mayhem, but what’s nice about the octane is it works great forehand, backhand and in the wind. It will hold lines and not flip to flat.
