Discmania says this about the release: “Niklas Anttila’s first Creator Series mold is the Drop, molded to the high performance needs of our Finnish superstar. This approach disc / midrange hybrid is made to set you up with drop-in birdies. Get yours today and watch your upshots drop by the basket! The Drop is a reliably overstable approach disc, well suited for high amounts of power, snap, and torque resistance. Its low profile and low glide ensure that each shot fades consistently to the ground. Designed to be shallower and more rounded than a Tactic , the Drop is a disc that can be trusted for all your shot shaping needs for controlled distance and consistent overstability. Throw hard for approaches that require a shot with a lot of finish, or throw softer for shorter approaches and have confidence that you will end up close to your target. The flat top and ergonomic rim make this disc easy to release on your desired angle, no matter whether you need to throw a backhand or sidearm.”

Touch straighter and more glide than a tactic or zone
Just like it is meant to be, faster Tactic. Flies close to MD4. When thrown faster (about 60-65 mph) in hyzer. Keeps the hyzer but pushes forward. Feels thinner than most approach discs.
Very overstable for slower armspeed. Distance-wise IMO closef to midrange than approach disc. Nice in between so I can see this covering several molds..Zone, Tactic, Buzzz OS etc.
In forehand flies almost surprisingly long straight until quite hard fade. There it felt little straighter than overstable midranges.
Very like a zone but a little more glide I think. Love it.
Not as much initial torque resistance as I wanted, but it does have slightly more glide and a little less over stability at the finish compared to a Tactic. Overall it is a little too wide in diameter, which seems to be a trend with the Discmania’s putters. It feels closer to a mid in the hand and it feels less easy to control on touch approach shots.
If you are looking for a zone type disc out of discmania, stick with the Tactic/Razor Claw or even the MD5. The drop isn’t what I was looking for.
