Mortar – This is one of the more popular discs on the market in recent years. Loved by Jeremy ‘Big Jerm’ Koling, this Overstable Midrange has been carving fairways and shaping lines all over! The Mortar is the Beadless Gator mold, discontinued by Innova and picked up by Hyzerbomb discs. A great company who has it’s plastic molded by Innova and distributed all over!
Note: Some of the Recon Mortars from this 1.5 run had some blizzard effect in the rim that you can feel on the edge. Gives it a bit rougher of an edge but actually a great grippy feel!

Beautiful disc! It’s sometimes hard to find Hyzerbombs, but OTB always comes through!
The Big Jerm Mortar is an excellent, overstable mid that I use for forehand upshots when I need a little bit more speed or distance than my Zone, or if there is a strong headwind. The plastic is durable and has a great feel on the rim. OTB is one of the best places to get new plastic because of the detailed descriptions and ratings they give each individual disc. Thanks OTB.

Love the Mortar! Wish they ran these more often! VERY overstable midrange without a bead, comfortable grip forehand or backhand, fights wind like a champ. Get one, you won’t regret it!
The disc is a true beadless gator in flight. A little more glide but just as overstable. My only gripe is the concave shape inside the rim. It feels amazing for backhand, but it doesn’t feel so fantastic for forehands for me. It caused a lot of irritation on my hand from scraping on the release after throwing about 10 forehands with it in the field. Without having one immediately on hand, I can say it feels exactly how I recall a caiman feeling.
If you want a beadless midrange that will fade hard, you found it.
Frontline x mortar came with two gouges and the stamp on the recon mortar had a scrape across the top. Felt like I received refurbished discs. Expect more from a business named “ONLY THE BEST DISCS”. Decent prices though.

My go to forehand disc for anything inside 300 ft. Like a beadless gator, md5 or zone.
