K1 Idog

K1 Idog – The first 7 speed in the Kastaplast lineup, the Idog will be a workhorse in your bag. It has stability and glide that lends itself to shot shaping, especially for power players. The K1 plastic is still amazing and lasts a long time. This is a disc that can be used for hyzers and anhyzers alike, making it useful for the main distance driver in your bag. Make sure you pick up a Kastaplast K1 Idog today.
Kastaplast says this about the mold: “To control the fairway is to control the game and Idog is the new fairway driver in charge of this task. This versatile disc will come in handy more often than you think. Send it flat and watch it hold the line with a gentle flip, use it for tricky sidearm approaches, throw it high and trust the fade. Idog is an old uncommon Swedish word for diligence or industrious, and this is what we want it to become, a reliable workhorse a new best friend.”
Speed 7 | Glide 5 | Turn -0.5 | Fade 2 |
This is my favorite disc at the moment. It’ll hold straight for a nice long pushing flight before a nice overstable fade. Good on forehand as well. The dome on the “neutral dome” discs isn’t too much to get in the way of a forehand grip. It’s also workable for anhyzer flexes and big turnovers in a way that more overstable discs in this slot like FD1 or Cookie won’t. Trilogy hasn’t managed to ruin the K1 plastic yet … it’s still very very nice. Right now I’m slotting it between the beefy Skywalker 2 and a beat-up s-line FD.
This is a great fairway disc. I got a first run minty and it flies great, feels great in hand, and has a huge skip potential. Numbers are solid, when thrown with power has very little turn, hyzer flips to flat very quickly.
Slight flip up with a reliable fade. Perfect if you want the tee bird flight in k1 plastic
