JohnE McCray Opto-X Fuse – The Fuse is a straight to under stable mid, with tons of glide. JohnE McCray loves these and chose it for his 2019 and 2020 Tour Series disc. The mold is a super straight mold that can handle power really well, it will get some drift to the right at full power and becomes a super useful disc to give you a variety of shots. It is a really glidey disc that can be powered down and still hold a relatively straight flight. Super glidey short mid. I can get the shapes I want with just that perfect amount of extra distance. Live it!
This disc went straight into the bag immediately after field testing! What a great slow mid range with some absolutely mind bending glide! I can see how JohnE would want his name on it. Great for dead straight shots and uphill too because of how much it glides and turns over.
Slightly more stable than other plastics of this mold, though still under stable with full power throws. For up shots and lower power shots, it glides pretty well and holds its line with little fade at the end.
I got the Fuse to learn the hyzer flip on. I have some beat in discs but the Fuse is very consistent which helps me pinpoint what I need to work on. This disc has great glide.
