Diamond – Opto – 170+ Carat

(37 customer reviews)

170+ Carat Diamond – This disc is a staple in the Latitude 64 “Easy to Use” lineup. The 170+ Carat Diamond has an extremely comfortable rim feel, especially for those with smaller hands. The Diamond’s max weight used to be 159g, now it is being offered in 170g and up also. Great for beginners or those with lower arm speeds, I highly recommend this disc!! The Diamond can show the true flight of an “S” shot for those who are not able to force most discs to turn over. My dad, who turns 67 in 2017, carries a few different Diamonds and uses them for most tee shots. Now if you want a little heavier diamond that is still super floppy then 170+ Carat Diamond is perfect. Still great for beginners and slower arm speeds but now heavier to fight the wind a bit more. Diamond is the choice of disc for beginners, children and players with moderate arm speed. It has an understable flight path with good glide and slight fade. This is the first time Diamonds have been produced in a weight over 170g.

  1. These threw perfectly without having to beat them in at all. Solid straight disc for an old guy like me.

  2. I’ve thrown the lighter weights and always messed with my timing. This one is so fun to throw! Easy rollers and nice full flight in big tailwinds.

  3. Tagline for this disc is easy to throw. Got it for my pops as he had a couple lighter weights. Flies true. Solid disc.

  4. The heavier weight is easier for me to throw than my lighter weight Diamond, especially forehand.

  5. Far more stable than the regular (lighter weight Diamonds). Similar flight to a Discraft heat (bit more flippy). The rim isn’t as deep at most 8 & 9 speed discs.

  6. fun disc to throw on hyzer and it flips up to flat easily.

  7. The Diamond is one of my favourite discs, and I’ve always relied on the light weight to be kind to my senior arm. But I wanted to try this heavier variant, as a hedge against windy days. This version does not disappoint. It still has the same feel and glide, but with a bit of a finish. It also holds up well in the wind.

  8. Definitely like the disc. It’s certainly understable, but because it’s a good weight compared to the mold’s lightweight cousins, it’s not uncontrollable for a normal arm. Goes pretty far without having to pump it super hard if you can throw hyzerflips. Power throwers or people regularly playing in wind probably won’t like it, all others will probably love it. Made the bag.

  9. Heavier diamond, I really like it. Low effort distance

  10. Slow armed senior player. Use this disc in the wind where the lighter diamonds struggle.
