VIP Ahti
Ahti – This disc, new to Westside Discs’ lineup in 2017, fits nicely in the 9 Speed Overstable slot. Closely compared to that of a Felon or a Firebird, the Ahti is very reliable in a headwind or getting around a dogleg. A comfortable and familiar feel in the hand, this disc should hop right in the bag and do exactly what you’d expect it to. The Ahti has become a reliable disc to fight headwinds and for any hyzer shots. It is fast becoming a very reliable disc for forehand throwers thanks to its flat feel and its overstability. You can throw it hard and flat on a forehand and it will hold a straight line for a while before it dumps out and hyzers. The Ahti is great for skip shots and anything that is needed for reliable hyzers from a fairway driver.
Westside Discs says this about the stamp: “Ahti was the king of the islands from Finnish national epic Kalevala. Picture was drawn by Arto Hoffrén year 2017. Check out the Kalevala in English language here. Ahti in Finnish language is Ahti.”

It’s a better Firebird. Flies the same, looks the same, but I’ve found the Ahti to be more consistent.
Probably the best os 9 out there.
I bought this disc to replace a lost Firebird and I’ve come to love this disc more than the Firebird. It’s super flat and not “domey” at all. It’s really overstable so I can always count on it’s fade left (when throwing RHBH). I’ve come to rely on it to skip hard too, so it’s perfect for sharp dogleg holes. Also, for any disc dyers out there, the VIP plastic takes dye very well. Overall I’m extremely satisfied with this disc.
Very overstable!
