Fortress – This disc is new to Westside Discs’ lineup in 2017 and fits a nice slot in the overstable hybrid (between fairway and distance) driver arsenal. The Fortress has a pretty comfortable grip and a very reliable flight. This mold slots nicely next to a few of the other fairway drivers in the Trilogy lineup, it is less overstable than the Ahti but also faster than either the Ahti or the Longbowman. It has a really comfortable feel in the hand and is the perfect disc for both backhand and forehand hyzers. Recently added to the bag by newest Westside Team Member Nikko Locastro, the Fortress could see an uptick in usage among Trilogy throwers. Keep an eye out for Nikko throwing the Fortress this year at all the big tournaments, especially places like GBO.
