Star Firebird

Star Firebird – One of the best molds ever, in our humble opinion! The Star Firebird is one of most revered discs in the history of Innova. A longtime favorite of many Innova players, this disc is such a useable disc for players. If you live somewhere windy like we do, then you need one in your bag. The Star Firebird can fight headwinds with the best of the discs and feels amazing in the hand. One of the best feeling discs in the Innova lineup, the Star Firebird is a disc that is great for big spike hyzers and low skip shots. The rim feels great and fits comfortably in the hand, these 9 speeds are thrown by tons of pro players including forehand extraordinaire Nate Sexton. Both of these players trust and lean on this disc in their forehand game. It is one of the best discs in the game for forehand dominant players.
Innova says this about the mold: “The Firebird is an overstable distance driver which works extremely well into a headwind. It is our most popular upwind distance driver. The Firebird’s combination of superior speed and stability make it possible to throw drives into the wind with confidence. An excellent disc for throwing long range flex shots. A favorite of sidearm and overhead throwers, too. This disc is designed for professional level players.”

good
Does what a Firebird does. Snatching up as many of these older Star stamps before all of them have cartoons on them. Sorry if you like them, not my cup of tea though.
Absolute workhorse, little straighter than a champion firebird, feels great in the hand.
The proverbial meathook, a smidge less stable than its champion counterpart, with a faster break-in to boot. This disc is probably already a staple in your bag.
Nice stable fairway driver
A lot straighter than expected out the box. Couldn’t be happier.
I’ve never seen a Firebird with this much dome. The Star plastic is somewhat soft. Useful but, not quite what I expected. Get a tour series if you want flat.
Great disk and color. I would rate it 9 4 0 3. It still is very reliable and flies a little bit lower and fades a little more than the Thunderbird. I would expect a little more fade once it is broken in.
Very good
What needs to be said about the Firebird, but this light blue is one of the prettiest discs I own. Love it.
