Baobab
Baobab – One of the beefiest trees in the world, the Baobab is a very beefy disc. It is a close relative to a Stego, having a Stego top and a Shaman bottom. It has a slightly different feel, the Stego has a bead, while the Baobab is beadless. Our first collaboration with AGL are these highly overstable putt & approach discs. If you are looking for some serious beef, then grab one of these. There is no headwind that is too powerful for this. It will fight every wind you can find. It is great if you need something to hyzer and find the ground. We cannot overstate the stability on this disc. The Baobab is just as stable as the Stego and has an amazing feel. With flight numbers of 4 0 1 3, this thing doesn’t turn, it only hyzers. We promise that you will not go long with this disc. Danny has always said this is the world’s perfect warmup disc, purely because it does not fly very far. It is a brother of the Stego and you can’t find more overstable discs than these two. If you like beadless then grab an AGL Baobab.

Bought this to replace my first Baobab – a Stokely signature edition, which I absolutely loved until watching it sail away down a river. I’m not sure if AGL changed the mold or if it’s just a consistency issue, but this disc is not the same profile as my original Stokely disc. The outer edge is much more tapered and the rim is not nearly as deep. My favorite thing about the signature disc was its forehand depth – I could throw that thing like a bullet from 200′. While this new Baobab has a similar flight pattern, it lacks the hand feel that I really appreciated about it to begin with.
Already had one of these, love it for what it is.
This disc is amazing as a roller with its thick edge.
