Victor 2 Armadillo – Lone Star Discs has added a bunch of new molds to the lineup and one of the best and most unique is the Armadillo. It has a thumbtrack on top and a frisbee-like bottom that makes it a great point and shoot disc. It is a fairly deep disc but it doesn’t have very much glide, unlike other deep dish putters. This is disc that will be great for approaches both forehand and backhand that need to go very straight. The Victor 2 plastic has an amazing feel and the plastic floats in water! Lone Star says this about the mold: “Armadillos are characterized by their armored shell and long, sharp claws for digging into the ground. Firm and good grip
The armadillo is underrated! It’s a great approach disc, both forehand and backhand and the Victor 2 plastic has a nice tactile feel. And if you ever throw a round with only 1 speed discs, like a local 1-speed-Wednesday tourney, the Armadillo is the perfect choice, IMHO
my absolute favorite approach disc. super smooth and easy to throw backhand or forehand. perfect stability when thrown properly. and they float!!
