Zeus – Paul McBeth Prototype

Purple Kong Swirl - Black McBeth stamp

McBeth Zeus – The first Driver in the new Paul McBeth lineup (formerly known as the Kong). The long awaited release is finally upon us! We at OTB could not be more excited and stoked about this new lineup for one of the sport’s best ever. The Zeus has a very nice feel in the had, it will be familiar to fans of the popular 12 speeds out there. The flight is great, not a meathook for 400′ + power, definitely has a little Turn and Glide to it with a reliable Fade finish. This Prototype run is absolutely gorgeous with a ton of different colors to choose from and sometimes a ton of colors on a single disc!

We’ll get some more throws on the Zeus shortly but we expect this disc to be a huge success with all the boxes it checks. Looks, feel, flight, name recognition, this mold is an A+ across the board. If you’re looking for your go-to distance driver, check out the McBeth Zeus today!

Anax – Paul McBeth Prototype

Prototype Anax - Pink Swirl - Rainbow foil stamp

Prototype Anax – The new Paul McBeth mold is here! This is the third disc in the new Discraft/Paul McBeth pairing. The Anax is a nice hybrid of a Fairway and Distance Driver, that leans a bit more towards the Fairway side. At a 10 Speed, the Anax has some nice distance to it, but all the control and accuracy that is so coveted =)

We at OTB are excited to test this new mold, having been impressed with the Luna and Zeus that preceded this Anax. From what we have heard/read, the 6 rating for the Glide is pretty accurate as this new mold is ready to coast for a long ways, only to sit right in the middle of the fairway 😉 – From watching a few Team Discraft players throw the Prototype Anax, I’m guessing that this is a mold that can be thrown pretty much full power with very little Turn, a ton of Glide, and a nice reliable Fade finish.

The Prototype Anax released at midnight on 7/12/2019 and should find many a players bag!

A word from Discraft on the new Prototype Anax – “We are also releasing the third disc in Paul’s lineup – Anax. Paul’s Anax(pronounced ‘aa·nuhks’) is an overstable driver in ESP plastic with a flight rating of 10/6/0/3/1.9. Previously available only as a limited pre-release in the Ledgestone players pack, the select few customers who have had the chance to throw the Anax have instantly taken to its flight as a utility driver with a TON of glide.”

Malta – Paul McBeth Prototype

Paul McBeth Prototype Malta in ESP swirly plastic with 4 colors.

Prototype Malta – The newest disc in the Paul McBeth lineup, the Prototype Malta is an overstable midrange designed to handle a ton of power. Available in Discraft’s Swirly ESP plastic, these Prototype Malta’s feel great and have a super awesome look to them. From everything we have heard they have a similar flight to a Zone, a trusty overstable flight, but with the distance and glide of a Buzzz. Designed to be both overstable and controllable, the Prototype Malta is a super useful disc that can handle headwinds and power shots. This disc seems to be destined for Paul’s bag and will be used a lot by him. He loves throwing the Zone and this disc is just a longer version of it. Instead of throwing a Raptor or Force in this spot and powering down, he will probably reach for the  Malta and throw it with a ton of confidence.

Discraft says this about the mold: “Paul’s 4th disc is a mid-range. With a strong yet controllable flight, this disc will offer players a feel and flight similar to the Zone but with the trust and distance of a stronger Buzzz.”
