OTB Open Fission Wave
$21.99
OTB Open Fission Wave – Our favorite tournament during the 2021 season was obviously the OTB Open. For the 2022 season you know we had to make it even better. Part of that is a wave of new fundraiser discs from the tournament’s new sponsor MVP Discs, including the Fission Wave. The Wave is a great somewhat understandable distance driver that is easy to control for players of skill levels. It gets a decent amount of turn but it reliably fades back into the middle of the fairway once it starts to slow down. The Fission plastic is great for making discs have a lighter core and a heavier rim for more gyroscopic effects. The OTB Open stamp looks amazing and will commemorate the 2022 edition of our favorite tournament.
MVP says this about the mold: “The Wave is best described as a longer Inertia, with a stable-understable flight profile and a responsiveness that makes it useful across the power spectrum. Available in weights 175g – 155g, the Wave is the type of driver that players may bag in two or more weights for shot variety. For the most powerful throws, long gliding turnovers and hyzerflip gut shots are possible with the Wave. For average powered throws the Wave will simply extend a variety of lines, from anhyzers to hyzerflips to headwind-assisted turnovers.”
Flight Numbers – Speed: 11 Glide: 5 Turn: -2 Fade: 2

Not quite as flippy (at basically max weight) out of the box as I was expecting, but I will beat it in as a forehand hyzerflip disc before trying to throw it on more backhands.

Amazing distance driver
Jesse Sapp –
This is my favorite S turn driver. As a noodle arm, its my go-to driver
Bradley Fulfer –
As always, just what I ordered. It arrived a few days later and I was hucking it that day. I can’t wait for the OTB Open to hit Stockton.

With fission plastic in the heavier weights (around 170g) this disc is a pretty straight flier. It allows for more controlled distance lines than a wave of the same weight without fission plastic. Exactly what I was looking for.
Ben –
The disc was exactly what I wanted and it came the next day. Great service
