Comet – Z Line
$14.99 – $15.99
Discraft Comet – On the Understable side of the spectrum, the Comet is a favorite of many a golfer. Originally produced in 1995, this disc has stood the test of time. Still well liked today, and used as Michael Johansen’s signature mold. The mold is a bit wider diameter than most at 21.8cm (vs 21.7 Buzzz, 21.1 Force) which helps give it more of a Frisbee™ feel and flight.

Another replacement disc that has become essential in my bag for uphill straight shots or right turning shots (rhbh) in flat ground.

As a beginner one of my new favorites.

The MRV was Discraft’s greatest discs of all time IMHO. NOTHING has ever replaced it from Discraft or any other manufacturer, The MRV had incredible glide with a very reliable overstable finish. The Comet feels like a more understable version of the MRV or perhaps the Hawk. The Comet is one of the few Discraft midranges left with this incredible glide and reliable finish. I am very please with this disc, it’s no MRV, but it’s pretty darn solid.

I was throwing the meteor for a while but was finding it to be just a tad too understable for me. Then I gave the comet a go and it was just what I was looking for, a great straight flying disc if thrown flat and will hold an anhyzer angle very well without dumping out to the right.
