Anax – Paul McBeth Prototype

(57 customer reviews)

Prototype Anax – The new Paul McBeth mold is here! This is the third disc in the new Discraft/Paul McBeth pairing. The Anax is a nice hybrid of a Fairway and Distance Driver, that leans a bit more towards the Fairway side. At a 10 Speed, the Anax has some nice distance to it, but all the control and accuracy that is so coveted =)

We at OTB are excited to test this new mold, having been impressed with the Luna and Zeus that preceded this Anax. From what we have heard/read, the 6 rating for the Glide is pretty accurate as this new mold is ready to coast for a long ways, only to sit right in the middle of the fairway ūüėČ – From watching a few Team Discraft players throw the Prototype Anax, I’m guessing that this is a mold that can be thrown pretty much full power with very little Turn, a ton of Glide, and a nice reliable Fade finish.

The Prototype Anax released at midnight on 7/12/2019 and should find many a players bag!

A word from Discraft on the new Prototype Anax – “We are also releasing the third disc in Paul’s lineup –¬†Anax. Paul’s¬†Anax(pronounced ‘aa¬∑nuhks’) is an overstable driver in ESP plastic with a flight rating of¬†10/6/0/3/1.9. Previously¬†available only¬†as a limited pre-release in the Ledgestone players pack, the select few customers who have had the chance to throw the¬†Anax have instantly taken to its flight¬†as a utility driver with a TON of glide.”

  1. Chase Pardue (verified owner)

This Anax was exactly the way it said it would be in the description. Although the prototype seems more overstable than the first rums and the stock prints, I’m still happy with the purchase. Great service as always.

  2. John (verified owner)

    Fast shipping and good picture

  3. Kasper K. Nylander (verified owner)

well have not got it yet…

  4. Jj clark (verified owner)

    Beast

  5. Austin McMurray (verified owner)

I was pretty happy with the shape and feel of this disc, but I have not thrown this disc yet as it will find a place on the wall.

  6. Frank W. (verified owner)

Once i learned to not throw this disc at 90% power, i reduced to about 60% and it Flys awesome, perfect for the shorter 200′-300′ low ceiling shots. Disc will hold flat till very end of flight and barely fade at end.

  7. Daniel R. (verified owner)

Anax is my work horse. Consistent.

  8. Logan R. (verified owner)

This disc just feels so right and is nice for people trying to find something to begin with

  9. John C. (verified owner)

Straight flier with a little fade

  10. Peter O. (verified owner)

Good speed and glide with a reliable hyzer finish.
